“Loss Series”
2017 - 2018

During the years of 2017 and 2018, Leasure investigated how the audience would respond to being confronted with overt negative emotion through the concept of "Loss." Similar to the stages of grief, this series confronts the viewer with a oversized images of various emotions associated with loss. These images showcase Leasure's ability to capture potent emotion from minute changes in facial expressions. Dramatic lighting and vibrant colors enhance the poignancy of the depicted emotions.
